Water Access

Bellevue has several easy options for getting out on the fabulous waterways nearby.

The Sweylocken Boat Launch is designated as a non-motorized boat launch.  Although small motorized watercraft are permitted south to Lake Washington, the site is not developed as a motorized launch.  No motorized watercraft are permitted north of the launch.  This launch provides ideal access to the Mercer Slough Nature Park Canoe Trail for those with their own boats.  The Sweylocken Boat Launch is accessed off of Bellevue Way NE, on the east side of the road, south of 112th Ave NE.

At Enatai Beach Park, users will find canoe and kayak rental opportunities, guided canoe outings (May through September), and great access to the Mercer Slough Nature Park Canoe Trail.  Other amenities at Enatai include lifeguards, swimming, dock, boathouse, picnic area, and playground.

The Southeast 40th Street Boat Launch provides boat access to Lake Washington. Located at 118th Avenue Southeast and Southeast 40th Street, the launch has one lane for launching, one lane for retrieving boats and approximately 65 parking spaces designated for vehicles and trailers. A daily launch permit must be purchased to use this site.  One vehicle/trailer parking space is reserved for vehicles with a Washington handicap permit.

The Phantom Lake Boat Launch provides access for up to 12 non-resident boats at a time to enjoy Phantom Lake.  Permits are available at the Lake Hills Greenbelt Ranger Station at not cost and on a first come, first served basis.
